Luclover is a 14-year-old rapper and musician based in Houston, TX, his family is originally from Morocco. Music wasn’t Luclover’s first passion, basketball was. He first picked up a ball at the age of 4, and his parents helped him to develop his skills and excel to an advanced level by taking him to practice, personal training and playing with him in the backyard. In January of 2019, Luclover found that his drive to play basketball was gone and that he wanted to take a different path and create music. His parents fully supported this switch and helped him set up a home studio, where Luclover still records. His first single "999" has almost 70,000 views on Soundcloud. The death of Maddie Finch, in the first hours of the new year 2018, shook the quaint suburb of La Harpe, Illinois in ways we can not adequately convey. When she was fatally shot inside of her home, the entire, Hancock County mourned. So strongly, in fact, that their grief stretched to the metropolis of Chicago, where an extraordinary emcee was moved to pay homage. That extraordinary emcee is Zip Dot; and that payment of honor is the video to his poignant, new opus— “Used To”. 

This record braves such a command over introspection and heartbreaking emotion that few will be able to contest its overwhelmingness. A melancholic ripple of rhodes chords is peppered by the tap of kicks and rimshots; over which, this Baltimore-born, Naperville-repping rapper, floats with lyrical supremacy. With subjects ranging from thoughts of self-harm, to broken romances, and Zip’s untouchable faith in rap, “Used To” is a fantastically vulnerable record. It is the epitome of openheartedness, with a video whose tribute does it even more justice. Every last count can be attributed to NOHEZZO’s impeccable performance on both the visual and song itself. Yes, the rapper delivers an enthralling, action-packed video for the record; however, it would be nothing without the music that backs it. Embraced by a patient, almost R&B-esque instrumental, NOHEZZO lyrically shows out. Now, eighteen years later, an Orlando rapper is making sure to remind us of that lecture; and drive its point even farther forward than before. For Playboy Ronnie, its paramount to remind his friends and foes of the importance of “Guns And Butter”; and his four-minute, July drop flawlessly does so. Introduced by a sample of that iconic convo, and featuring the likes of 2Tooly, “Gunz And Butter” is a hardbody, street anthem. 


An airy melody is splashed by thunderous drums and 808s, whom yield only to the auto-tuned inflections of the two artists coasting them. The hook is unspeakably superb— styled by the grittiness of its delivery, catchiness of its melody, and smoothness of its street-hardened bars. “Guns And Butter” is unlike anything else bubbling in The Sunshine State; and its creator, unlike any other rapper repping Orlando.
